Just Married

Email This Post Email This Post Print This Post Print This Post

It was a tiring day today, but yes, I’m am now a married man.

More updates should follow on the wedding blog in the coming days but it might take my wife and I a couple of days to recover from the ROM ceremony. If the updates come in a little later, I seek your understanding.

Anyhow, despite being tired, I’m happy. A few major events have happened during these past few months, like my graduation, and now my wedding. I think my parents are happy as well, seeing their son graduate and marrying a great daughter-in-law!

Now that I’m married, my priority would be to set up a family and work with my wife to give it warmth, love and security. No plans for kids in the couple of years but probably will try for the first one in 3-4 years. Next would be to get my PhD (although that’s going to take quite some time) and establish a career. I know these days, most people start career first before starting family, but I still think that family comes before career. Only with the support of a loving family can one excel in career, at least from my point of view.

Alright, enough for tonight. I need to go get some rest. It’s been a long day. I can’t imagine the customary and a potential 80 table banquet.

    Congratulations, Aaron!

Though I know you not personally, I’ve been reading your blog for some time now and I share your happiness in getting married to the woman of your dreams.

Like you, I got married before building my career, and I can tell you from personal experience that there’s nothing like having a supportive spouse while both slog long and hard to build up a home together! That’s something that singles who believe that they should first have a career then get married will never experience!

My best wishes to you and your lovely bride!

    Hi Aaron,

Congratulations! Great to hear you say that family is your priority. That is something we don’t hear too often nowadays. You’ve got your head screwed on tight in the right place, dude .. :)

Congrats to Pei Ying too .. :)

    Regards,
    Andrew

    Oi, Aaron…

Hurhurhur you looked quite smart in that cream coloured suit (sans necktie!) eh? Since when have you become such a smart dresser? *wink*

And your wifey looked so damn delectable in that purple (very nice shade!) dress.

Don’t forget to invite me for the dinner. I hope I won’t be by myself then and if you’re inviting Leo and JY, pls seat me next to them. I felt damn left out hanging out with P + F. :(

hey congrats. so sorry I had to leave so soon.. all the best ya =) n I support your concept of family before career, however seeing your blissful face yesterday, and when I thought about myself, I think I’d be running away from any potential marriage in the next few years. the thought of getting tied down… SCARES me hahaha.

n ya thx for inviting me haha realised that I’m probably your only sec sch fren there… n apologies for being totally under-dressed.

Kaijun: Hey, that makes the two of us! And my bf’s pressuring me to get ROM-ed with him - *sigh* long story.

Ah, it’s so sweet that you two were soooo blissful. Peiying was positively glowing and I’m sure it’s not the makeup playing tricks on my eyes. :) I hope I’ll be as blissful when I get married. Hurhurhur…

I am really happy for the newly-wed couple.

    Congratulations! Aaron and Peiying.

Though I do not know you personally, I have been one of your
regular readers and I very seldom make comments or inputs.
If I do, I had used different nicks, never the same one each time.
So, you may not know who I am exactly.

Like you, I had also started my family first before my career, and
as someone said above, its really good to have a wife to support
and encourage you emotionally and stand by your side when the
    chips are down.

Again, all the best for your new family and your future endeavour.

Wishing you a blissful marriage and tons of happy moments
    together as husband and wife!

Don’t worry about it. I’m so glad you came down although your girlfriend flew in on the same day. My best friend indeed.
