His name is Paul Bessel. He was a Brit who worked in Singapore but migrated to the US and worked as a volunteer helping old folks at a nursing home. I looked up yahoo's video and found that he posted a video of himself paragliding: http://video.yahoo.com/watch/503464/2660059 He lived an adventurous life and was wonderful to those who knew him.
