Congrats on your anniversary.
That is another reason why I feel Singapore is wrong – about our education model. Why does the govt find it necessary to pay billions to build a dam, build up National Service, but does not believe in free education for its children – at least up to the lowest price denominator of say and Arts Faculty degree. Why the American model where you need to take loans and pay loans etc etc?
I feel that this is one reason why many youngsters spend too much, where Govt tells you it is ok to be in debt – to study, and the young ones build up their loans to an unhealthy level and goes off tangent.
As a guy – probably it is good to pay a pension for NS – (read a blog somewhere) so that these deserving young singaporeans can get a headstart in life! You needed it, for sure

yes! i bitch about this everyday to my wife!

marriage and moving out is like running a business – there will be start-up costs.

but think of it as an investment (not just monetary, but emotional and for some, spiritual).

of course, more dimensions will appear when you’ve got kids.

I hear you Aaron. Money aside, never before have I to make so so many decisions on my own…be it “how much $$ should I fork out for each instalment” to “how many times should I mop the house per week” and etc etc. But there is a price for NOT growing up also and you could write a blog on that

Welcome to the working world!

When you talk about paying off loans, it reminded me to write something that relate this (paying loans) to the recent survey about people not liking their job and graduates delaying marriage (and having children).

Maybe, I’ll blog about that in more detail tonight.
