Singaporean doesn’t care anything now. They are delusion and given up on gov, and just survive each as it is. Can spend, they will spend, since anyway, there’s nothing they can do, than to live each day like a rat.

and who knows how many Singaporeans have already spent the progress package (using it as a “bonus”) on tangible luxuries?!

i mean of course.. the short sighted ones who didn’t see (is that possible?!) the hikes coming.. we already have a transport fees hike.. petrol hike.. and now gst hike.. so what now.. -_-

The amazing thing is the way of the announcement of the GST hike. All talk of the help for lower income group is the smoke screen, the real show is the GST hike. Give you sweets first, then shaft the bitter medicine down your throat. It can be sure what will come next, the “offset” packages for the lower income group. Sandwiched between two “good” news, so clever hor. If ALL the MPs knew about the GST hike before hand, they were singing songs all the while. If they (except cabinet members) did not know about it, they are also screwed by the top people too. That would show that the Family does not even trust their own MPs.

You are absolutely right. Considering how pragmatic our government is, it is simply wishful thinking that they will give something out freely without taking something back from you. I still don’t understand why Singaporeans enjoy letting themselves be sucked dry.

Singaporeans never learn. After the New Singapore Shares were given out in the elections before the last, GST went up from 3% to 5%. This time round, the PAP gives progress packages, another version of the new Singapore shares. It’s so darn obvious that it’s the NSS version 2. Like I say, kiasu-ism is short sighted, and probably suffers from amnesia too.

Now we know that they care more about money to write off Thaisin’s investment and then pretend to promise us nation-wide wifi, help the poor plan => all kind of “excuses” that perhaps have string attached.
