Japanese Street at JP!

July 18th 2008 by Wife in Others 0

Roamed around JP recently, and after hearing that the basement has been renovated, I decided to go take a look. And boy was I surprised at what welcomed me at the foot of the escalator! A whole new section - totally japanese! It even had a pretty grand entrance with a huge snow crab sitting [...]

The Wedding Album…

September 1st 2007 by Wife in Others 0

After waiting for about 5 working days, the photos we ordered from Snapfish (an online photo album that allows for ordering of prints as well) have finally arrived! It is the first time I’m trying out printing photos from online instead of going to a photo lab (so far, out of the major players - [...]

Featured on Zaobao

August 27th 2007 by Husband in Feelings, Others 0

My wife and I were featured on today’s Zaobao Fukan front page along with another 2 couples. It was a feature story on couples who married soon after graduation. There were a couple of mistakes in the article though, the most obvious one being my wife’s stipend being $1,500 to $2,000 weekly instead of monthly. [...]

How healthy is our relationship?

July 27th 2007 by Wife in Others 0

An interesting quiz regarding relationships, though some questions are not entirely applicable at this moment, I answered them according to what I trust I know about him and me..
And I got mostly Cs! This means that “You’re both committed to your relationship and prepared to work hard at it. That said, you also [...]

E-filing at ROM website

June 20th 2007 by Husband in Others 0

I just e-filed for our marriage at the ROM website. It wasn’t very difficult, as long as you have the following ready:
1. Bride and Groom’s statutory names and NRIC
2. Names and NRIC/Passport Number of the 2 witnesses
3. Solemniser’s License Number (if you are doing it out of ROM)
4. Credit/Debit Card
Yup, you need a credit/debit card. [...]

The Bridal Studio

June 20th 2007 by Husband in Others 0

In another 3 weeks or so, we’ll have to go down to the bridal studio to try out our respective clothes for our solemnisation. The bridal studio that we picked is Jess Haute Couture, and it’s located at North Bridge Road (near Lavender MRT). It’s directly opposite the Textile Centre and if you are driving [...]

Wedding procedure in Singapore

June 16th 2007 by Husband in Others 2

It appears to me that different countries have slightly different procedures when it comes to weddings. In Singapore, a wedding is usually divided into 2 parts, namely the solemnisation and the customary.
The solemnisation refers to the legal aspect of the marriage. Under Singapore law, a couple is considered to be legally married only if the [...]

The Token of Love

June 5th 2007 by Wife in Others 1

“So, where’s the diamond ring he proposed with?”, someone may ask me. Well, truth is, he didn’t propose with a ring, much less a diamond one. And no, it’s not that he’s a miser, or that he wasn’t sincere enough! It’s purely because I do not see the reason in getting a diamond for an [...]
