The Garden Wedding

After searching through various shopping malls, browsing through a few bridal magazines, and reading some online discussion forums, I’ve finally settled on a package from a bridal studio for my solemnization! Inclusive of a made-to-measure dress, hair-do, make-up for the solemnization day and a bridal bouquet, the whole package did not come cheap, but I guess it settles quite a few things I require. And hey, I get to keep the dress! After trying on a few dresses when we visited the bridal studio one weekday last week, I decided on a particular cutting of the dress and fell in love with a certain color. Haha.. So after some discussions with the designer about what kind of design I’d like (pointed to a picture from a bridal magazine), she drew it out for me immediately on the spot (!!!) and showed me the sample of the cloth it’d be made from. Then my measurements were taken and voila! My dress will be ready for my first fitting in mid-July! Hopefully it’d turn out great and I’d look good in it We also decided to rent a suit from the bridal studio, a beige one that seemed to suit the color of my dress. Plus, he looked good in it That added on to the whole cost though, and in total (inclusive of having to pay extra for the make-up artist to go to the venue of my choice for the make-up and hairdo, and for extra cloth for my dress), the whole package was S$600+! Til when I see my dress, I can only say that I hope it’s worth it! Haha..

To just give a sneak preview of what my dress might be like, this is the color of the dress that I’d be having (nope, it’s not white, off-white, cream or anything even near that shade.. haha..):

Do you like it too? Hee.. ‘Cos I’m definitely excited about it! I’m beginning to lose focus in my lab work thinking about all the wedding stuff! I simply cannot imagine what would happen during my customary and wedding banquet… gosh…
