Our wedding bands have arrived!
July 19th 2007 by Wife in PreparationsOriginally due to come on the 1st August, our wedding bands, bought from Lee Hwa Jewellery, arrived much earlier than we expected it! Thanks to Sue darling, who so kindly came down to help us with the discount for Citibank card holders, we managed to get the bands at a more affordable price.
I really like Aaron’s ring, thick and manly, the ring’s combination of rose gold and white gold looks really good on his finger. Haha, feel that mine is relatively normal, but I really do like the rose gold, something unique and somewhat special.
What made me really happy when the lady called to tell me that the rings were ready for collection was that a free ring pillow came together with the bands! To think that I’ve been worrying about the pillow for quite some time now, wondering if I should spend more money to get something I really like (for example a precious moments or Tatty teddy one), since I’d be keeping it anyway, or be more practical and not spend a large amount of cash on getting one since I’m going to only use it once. Haha, problem resolved! I don’t have to fork out any money for it, and the one I received is quite pretty too! *beams in happiness*
Now there is the problem of tying the rings to the pillow, read somewhere that I just have to twirl the ribbon twice aroung the ring – that would make it stay in place yet be easy to remove for the ceremony. However, I’ve done that but with not too much success, the ring still comes off the pillow! It doesn’t stay in place… Hmmm… Or do they mean to not touch the rings anymore after having tied them to the pillow? Shall try out again when I have time… Lab work is proving difficult to handle amidst wedding preparations (or rather it’s more the other way round since I spend more time on lab than on wedding preparations now anyways).
