Women are made for shopping?
June 11th 2007 by Wife in PreparationsHaha, Aaron commented that women are made for shopping ‘cos even after having walked the good long stretch of Orchard Road (literally ‘walk’ from Plaza Singapura to Far East Plaza, including visiting the shopping malls in between) yesterday, and both of us were sticky from the perspiration due to the humid weather, with our legs hurting/ aching from all that walking, I was still enthusiastic to go on! Not to mention that after a night of rest, even though I was in heels the previous day, I felt perfectly fine, while poor Aaron still felt that his legs were tired out from the day of shopping.
Anyway, our main objectives were to get appropriate shoes for our ROM, as well as look for a shirt for him for the occassion, which we actually managed to accomplish! He got a nice shirt from Domanchi, and thanks to GSS (Great Singapore Sale), it wasn’t too expensive. As for shoes, he got a pair of leather ones from Men @ Walk, a special shop selling shoes with hidden heels so that one would actually become taller wearing them. That way, I can safely wear my heels for the day! Haha.. We had problems locating the store as I kind of forgot which building it was in and what level it was at, which resulted in more legwork on our part until I managed to get my brother to help us check it out online. And it was closing when we arrived! Luckily for us, they opened the doors for us, and well, made one more deal before they closed for the day
Both of us have never visited so many shoe shops and seen so many shoes in one single day in our lives. What an experience!
I finally set my eyes on a pair of heels from Charles & Keith, and after much hassle (due to lack of shoes of my size for the design I wanted from the store we visited, we therefore had to reserve a pair from another branch at Jurong Point), I finally bought the pair of heels when I visited the branch at JP today. Yay! I love the shoes! A pair of peep-toe heels, I feel confident wearing them, and it’s surprisingly comfortable for the height!
So, one more thing down, though quite a number more remains… Time to get the solemnizer for the registration ceremony… Hopefully that goes without a glitch!
